elcome to the Nygårdh family's hiking site. The main site is in Swedish and hence we have made this special entrance in English for international guests.

We are a family living in Södertälje just 40 km (25 mi) southwest of Stockholm, the Swedish capital. The family consists of Me (Claes), My wife Gunnel and our young people, Catrin and Robert.

We have been to the mountains (Fjällen, as we call them in Sweden) a couple of times, sometimes some of us, sometimes all and sometimes together with friends.
Some of the hikes we have written journals. Other hikes we only have photographed or painted.
The hikes and stays character and degree of difficulty have varied substantially, everything from full board and lodging on a Mountain Station to an attempt to climb the Sarektjåkkå Big Peak, and recently a couple of solitary hikes in Sarek national park.

From this page you can reach the journals and picture galleries from our hikes in the mountains in the northern Sweden in the areas around our two highest mountains Kebnekaise (2117m/6945ft) and Sarektjåkkå (2089m/6854ft).
The journals and the texts to the pictures are in English for all hikes.
You reach the journals through the links on the left side menu:
